By weaving elements of her Cuban roots with the improvisational essence of jazz\, Yansa crafts a dynamic and resonant musical tapestry that enchants audiences with its melding of cultural influences and invigorating spirit. \n\n\n\nTrained as a classical flutist and vocalist\, Yansa draws inspiration from the rhythmic traditions\, melodic patterns\, and emotional nuances of Cuban music. Yansa’s ability to seamlessly blend the vibrant textures of Cuban music with the improvisational nature of jazz not only underscores her cultural heritage but also highlights her versatility as a musician. By harmonizing these two musical landscapes\, she pushes the boundaries of jazz music\, incorporating a rich and diverse array of sounds that reflect her eclectic musical upbringing and international experiences. \n\n\n\nHaving performed in Russia at a young age\, Yansa continued to cultivate her craft through musical residencies in Cairo\, Egypt\, and Abu Dhabi\, United Arab Emirates. These global influences have enriched her music\, adding layers of depth and dimension to her already diverse repertoire. \n\n\n\nThrough her exploration of the intersections between Cuban and jazz music\, Yansa initiates a musical dialogue that pays homage to the shared histories\, influences\, and innovations of these dynamic genres. Her compositions and performances serve as a poignant testament to the beauty and power of cultural exchange and artistic. \n\n\n\nPamela Hart – Vocalist \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPamela Hart\, highly regarded as Austin\, Texas’ finest jazz vocalist. Her professional career started in 2000 with Hot Wax Motown Band. During that time\, she also traveled the country performing as a backup singer for The Mudd Catts Elvis Presley Impersonator Band. \n\n\n\nCicely currently sings with CC Jones Quartet which performs jazz and contemporary music and with the Royal Dukes Wedding Party Band. Her compositions range from highly original pieces to reharmonized jazz standards. “Everything she writes wants to dance\, ” says Ken Dais of Jazziz. Peggy’s background would account for her varied musical tastes. She began playing classical piano at an early age\, continuing her studies at the Eastman School of Music\, and finishing a Masters Degree\, still in Classical music\, at the New England Conservatory. And then she began to improvise.  She has toured throughout Europe\, the US\, Canada\, Australia\, and Japan. Joining the vibrant music scene there\, she intends to create a new (for her) musical genre\, to add to her already eclectic tastes (Latin\, Classical\, Brazilian\, Progressive and Free jazz\, etc). In 2004\, Peggy created the Wall Street Jazz Festival (“where the traditions meet the progressives\, and all the leaders are women”) in Kingston\, NY; the Festival was held twelve consecutive years to date. In 2017 Peggy introduced LuluFest\, currently approaching its sixth year\, an eclectic music festival again featuring women leaders. She started drumming at 24\, mainly as a means to jam with her brother. Drums spoke to Karrie more than any other instrument\, so she began taking formal lessons with several notable teachers in the area which helped her advance quickly. Karrie then joined her first band\, and a few years later she helped teach percussion at a music conservatory! \n\n\n\nKarrie have always felt the need to play as many styles of music as she can\, so during her time in NC she was fortunate to play folk\, country\, reggae\, jazz\, and even some hip hop! The experience she gained in NC was invaluable\, and helped her confidently make the move to Austin\, Texas. \n\n\n\nSince moving to Austin\, Karrie have been smiled upon by the Universe and have been fortunate enough to share the stage with these fine performers: Bob Appel\, Emily Herring\, Jim Loessberg\, Bakersfield TX\, Anthony Garcia\, Ella Reid\, Al Dressen\, Floyd Domino\, The Merles\, Rollfast Ramblers\, Justin Trevino\, The Bluebonnets\, Bonnie Montgomery\, Jason James\, Texas Tycoons\, Blue Amulets\, The Reeves Brothers\, Rhythm Congress\, TT Brown\, Rosie Flores\, Adam Lopez\, Summer Dean\, Jazz Kween\, Lance Lipinsky and more to come! \n\n\n\nLaura Mordcai – Percussionist \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLaura Mordecai is a percussionist and harmony vocalist for Stephanie Urbina Jones\, Robin Mordecai and Javier Chaparro and Salúd.  She’s recorded with these plus others including the legendary Beto y los Fairlanes.  Laura is a member of the Recording Academy having proudly served terms as a Texas Chapter board member\, Chapter Secretary and as Vice-President.  She currently continues to serve as a member of the Chapter’s Education Committee.  She is also a member of the American Federation of Musicians (AFM Local 433)\, Austin Texas Musicians and a founding member of the Austin Jazz Society.

Reared by her mother\, Annette\, and her church organist father\, Floyd Harris – both of deep spiritual faith and intense believers in the art of music – Jeanette and her older brother\, Michael\, received their love of God and family genetically. \n\n\n\nJeanette played saxophone and piano from grade school to high school where band teacher Steve Alcala also had her play in the Fresno City College jazz band even before she graduated high school. She won numerous awards and accolades\, which led to a scholarship to attend Berklee in Boston where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance. \n\n\n\nCiting her influences\, Jeanette continues\, “(Saxophonist) Richard Elliot brought some serious R&B groove at a time when smooth jazz really needed more of that funk vibe\, especially his song ‘Corner Pocket.’ I just loved his production! As a composer\, Stevie Wonder’s music touches the hearts of people with lyrics that have strong meanings\, and beautiful chords and melodies. And (guitarist) Norman Brown is the one that inspired me to want to be a performer when my parents took me to see him for my very first concert at The Bastille in Hanford\, CA. He gave me chills!” After crossing paths with Brown on the road\, Jeanette co-wrote a song with him that became the title track of her fourth CD\, Saxified. Brown recorded the song on his Grammy nominated CD\, 24/7\, with a different title\, “The Best is Yet to Come” featuring Gerald Albright. “To have Gerald playing a melody that I wrote is so amazing\,” Jeanette shares. Jeanette has played major events from The Coombs River Bend Ranch Festival to festivals in Japan and London.  She has performed as a side musician with Howard Hewett and Deniece Williams and has opened shows for greats ranging from smooth jazz stars Kirk Whalum\, Najee and The Rippingtons to R&B stars Babyface\, Phil Perry and KEM. “I got a standing ovation opening for KEM\,” Jeanette beams. “He came out to meet me and get my CD. His people said he never does that!
